you’ve been served

My tonsils, strong-willed enough to deserve names, are now (un)affectionately referred to as Cheech and Chong.

Ah me oh my. Your petition looks SOOO much like something Natalie would come up with. :D I certainly hope the situation drastically improves for you.

You’ve been so much in my thoughts with the passing of your grandmother.

hahahaha! Hmmm, I think I have a few issues that deserve a notice like this.

Specifically, baby belly and flabby arms. They were NOT invited.

heidi — yep. august 22 is d-day. thanks for praying! (i’m pretty sick at the moment…)

annie — it does seem natalie-ish. that makes me smile. (thanks for thinking of me today. i flew back to NY tonight; i’m exhausted, inside and out…)

    b.m. — i have a stack of past-due notices to send out myself…

  5. Anna says:

Too funny…. Where do you come up with these things?

Glad you will finally get relief on August 22

  6. Yup…you will totally feel way better. Stupid extra body parts. I don’t know why we even have them in the first place. Seriously.

  7. HAHAHAHA!!!!

    so… um.
    define “graffiti the premises” please.

We have a baby shower that day for a gal in our little group of missionary friends.

When I read the title of the post I thought you were going to tell us that you were served a jury duty summons. That has happened to us about four times since we have been on the field. My aunt gets us out of it by writing them some kind of letter. (She lives in the same city we are registered in.) And she always is so jealous because for her whole life she has wanted to do jury duty and they have never contacted her.

So are you going to have a going away party for Cheech & Chong?

  10. Bran Muffin says:

    b.m.

    nice.

    hahahaha!!

So you only have another month to stress out over going to the hospital. :)

Don’t forget that if you aks the doctors will give you Cheech and Chong to keep as a memento. Just remember William Shatner sold his kidney stone on e-bay for thousands. You have so many friends I am sure some would like a piece of you to keep on their mantle. :)

  12. Becca says:

That was a mildly scary response, Ed.

Get outta here Cheech and Chong. It’s about dang time.

  13. Debs says:

EWWWWW!!!!! Made the mistake of clicking on “tonsils” during lunch….

Love it :) Cheech and Chong are about to be evicted! Should they have some wing-wang before they depart? Sounds fitting ;)

  17. TheNorEaster says:

That’s the best part about being a grown-up, Tam: We can have ALL the ice cream we want! ;)

  18. Hannah says:

hehe sounds like an August Rush.. err okay that was a lame-o pun. hehe. have you seen that movie? i thought it was awesome.

  19. alece says:

mandy/heidi — have you ever gotten white spots on your tonsils? ever? that happens to me. all the time. very. gross.

gigi — i’ve always wanted to be on jury duty. but i think i have a romanticized view of it from reading every single john grisham book there is. i hadn’t thought about a going away party for cheech and chong… i wonder what i could do to celebrate… hmmm…

ed — i’m so glad you mentioned that. i’ve had a recurring dream since i was a child that i get my tonsils removed and they give them to me in a jar… and then i dissect them and i find all sorts of gross living creatures living inside and that explains why i’ve always been so sick. i’ve been deliberating for weeks as to whether or not i should really ask the doctor for them!

    debs — oops! sorry!!!

BM — i made it into your searches! yessssss!

amy — when we got home from florida, we decided we’d pick up something for dinner on the way home from the airport. i was told i could pick. “wing wang,” i said. “i need comfort food.”

hannah — i really enjoyed the movie (discrepancies aside). and the soundtrack is fantastic.
