whetting your appetite
I haven’t forgotten about the blogger mission trip. In fact, I’ve been thinking about it a lot! Things are in the works and I’m hoping to launch some more information very soon.
In the meantime, here’s a glimpse of what you can expect to see and experience, through the eyes of the students who were here as part of Thrive Trip a few months ago.
I’d really like to hear from you. Has your desire to be involved grown since you first heard about the mission trip? Or have you honestly not really thought about it again? Or maybe you’re hearing about it now for the first time?
Go ‘head and talk amongst yourselves in the comments!

Nope. Haven’t forgotten. :)
To be honest, I started reading your blog not to long ago and really started praying and thinking about how to work something like this into my life without knowing about the previous post! This sounds like an amazing opportunity and I would love to see it happen! :)
I did not respond to the 1st post. Instead I spoke with my better half to get her thoughts and gauge her interest. She said she would need enough notice to not overbook herself that semester. Then I spoke to our missions coordinator at our church (www.themacc.org) and she asked me to send her a link to thriveafrica.org which I did. I sent another email yesterday with a link to the video post on the field blog.
It is still too soon to know since there are many if’s but no, I have not forgotten and yes, I have given it serious thought.

OH MAN WHAT A DREAM!
You know my life/calendar/stuff… But, know I haven’t forgotten & would LOVE to do this!
We’ll keep talking/dreaming/thinking.
I am still all in. But Dan kind of laughed when I told him. Let’s just say he didn’t let me and Con visit my sister in Mexico this year. But I know sometime we will come. We will be praying about it.
@cassgirl says:
I’M SO THERE….
but you already knew that..
I wanna come!! (insert pouty face)
I will be praying and hopefully contributing to a fund for those who need assistance. Let me know how to do that, please.
Love you and praying…
OH…I am definately awaiting more info regarding cost. But it is my plan to come. I am actually planning on getting a passport after the first of the year since I don’t have one.
I have thought of this tons and prayed about it tons. I have also put one of your elephant pictures as my desktop here at work so I look at it and the first thing that pops into my mind are images of little boys with long lashes and dust and Jesus and Friends.
LETS DO IT!!!!
Sounds fabulous!
It sounds like a blast. My schedule probably wouldn’t like something like this… but I sure would. You know this.
They were having SO MUCH fun! I would love to go with my family or even just with hubs. Financially, God will have to drop the cash on our doorsteps … and I believe He can. :) So we will see. Until I can commit otherwise, I will commit to praying for this group and this cool Blogger Mission Trip plan and pray for God’s guidance on how I might provide support financially.
God is using you in mighty ways Alece. Thank you for being so open to His calling.
WOW!!!

I do want to come still. It doesn’t consume my thoughts, but it is there…. burning…. simmering right now since I have years before I will see my dream happen. Thanks for keeping it before me though.
