where i’ve been
“Why haven’t you been blogging?” you wonder. Well, for starters, thanks for asking. For enders, here’s a list of possible reasons, excuses, and justifications for my prolonged blogging absence. Take your pick and cast your vote in the comments.
A – I’ve been knee-deep in decorating my house for Christmas. Snowmen galore are everywhere.
B – I was sunbathing on an exotic island. Just picture palm trees and cold frothy beverages…
C - Niel and I hiked to the top of Mount Everest (the one on our property, not the one in Nepal), which of course necessitated that we spend several days recovering.
D – I spent the week on my couch, engaging in a movie marathon. 7 days, 19 films.
E - Remember when the roof blew off our house? Niel and I spent the week reading “Thatching for Dummies” and then repaired it ourselves.
F – Publisher’s Clearinghouse called; we won a million dollars and immediately left for a shopping spree around the world.
G – I kept a close eye on my parrot, Starbucks, keenly observing his fecal matter since he’s had the runs for weeks. (I’m happy to report, he’s on the mend.)
H - None of the above. Insert your own reason here: _____________
The way I see it is sometimes you feel in a bloggity mood and you restrain from blogging multiple times in a twenty-four hour period. At other times you just don’t feel bloggity at all; you just feel blah.
Whatever your reason (even if you have no reason at all) it’s all good. You are still cool with me.
I did miss you, but I understand. We will “see” you when we see you.
Oh – and if you do win the publishers clearing house I will be expecting a visit. (smile)

ummmmmmmmmm i think i’ll vote for the sunbathing. mostly because it sounds nicer than our snowy weather here right at the moment. :)

Anyway, it’s nice “having you back”.
You’re so funny… this made me laugh out loud.
I want pictures of beautiful beaches and frothy drinks… we’re in the midst of a terrible winter storm… and for the moment I have electricity (on and off all morning) so I have our heat cranking and Silas engaged in baby praise.
Wonder if Silas and Starbucks got into something together… my little one also has the SERIOUS runs, topped by nasty diaper rash… so whenever I change him he’s screaming/writhing…and I’m puking. Shame. I could use a frothy beverage :)

Well, alls I can say is if it were I who hadn’t posted, my excuse definitely wouldn’t have been A! We have zero decorations up. We’re basically on trial in our community and facing possible shunning….
