twenty-nine: gifts
We’re called to be like Him.
That means we need to be givers.
29Gifts challenges us to give away twenty-nine things in twenty-nine days. The gifts can be anything to anyone. They don’t need to cost you money, but they do need to cost you some heart.
Consider taking the challenge to intentionally give something away for twenty-nine days. I’d love to hear if you do it, and what sorts of things you choose to give.
I’m glad God gave me Himself. And I’m glad God gave me you.

Wow – the feeling is mutual – I am SO glad that God gave me you too. :-)
The challenge is a great idea. I think I am up for it… now to scheme and plot my giving route… hmm…

I love this idea!!! Count me in :)

God gave me a WHOLE ALOT when He gave me you. WOW… I am incredibly soaked in the good stuff (blessings)
Count me in!
Oh crap. Okay…so wait…what are the rules again? I love stuff…you know that right? Dang you Alece.
I meant giving…giving stuff.
I love this idea! I’m in.
And Alece, how high are you counting up to? I thought for sure it was going to end on Christmas . . .

cool
I am in!! I think even a word of encouragement, a hug, praying…those are all giving of ourselves. We may not have money to give big but I think blessing someone in other ways is just as great! This will make me intentionally do the things I should be doing! :)
Thank you for bringing these awesome things to our attention.
I doubt I am that much of a blessing…But you are to me. :) Hippo butts and all!!!
i love seeing how many of you are getting on board! and jennifer, i think you’re absolutely right. your gifts can include hug, kind words, etc.
amy, my plan was to do it for the entire month of december. kind of a creative writing project for myself. some days have been much harder than others! but i’m glad i did it.
It’s been fun seeing what you come up with for the different numbers . . .
I’ll go along with Jennifer’s idea.
I shared that gift of love with my 5 nieces over Christmas.
I gave gifts to each of the 14 children they have between them so that brings me up to 19.
I know I smiled, said Merry Christmas, and shared the gift of holiday spirit, with more than 10 friends and neighbors.
I have been accused of giving some people grief but I don’t think I can count that.
Alece, you should count us all for the love you have shared with us over the year.
I have had one problem. Once you went past 20 I ran out of fingers and toes to count.
Great idea….I gave of myself to my sister today…i can’t remember if we have talked about her, but it was definitely done with a lot of prayer. God is good! I am thankful for you!
amy — thanks. it’s been a fun outlet for me. ironically enough, i am really struggling with my thirty post. GAH!
ed — you definitely know how to spread the love!
char — good for you!
