something

Have you ever been told something that made your heart just sing?

Something that stole the words from your throat and replaced them with tears in your eyes?

Did you ever hear something that left you in a state of disbelief and yet… you knew it was true?

Something that gave you hope without even trying… almost by accident, really?

Something that left your mind reeling and oddly still all at the same time?

Have you ever been told something that made you feel both immeasurably valuable and utterly humbled?

I just did.

    i’m pretty sneaky, eh?!

my heart was so full and overflowing when i got off the phone with amy that night. i had to write something right away, but knew i couldn’t let anything slip. so i figured i’d just capture the feelings of the moment and leave out all the details.
