one word 365

The challenge is simple:

Scrap the long list of resolutions you want to make this year (even though you know you really won’t keep them) and instead, pick just one word.

There is so much clarity in the simplicity of one word.

It narrows down all your big life-change plans into one single thing. It paints a picture for your future — a clear vision you can take steps toward. It focuses you more on the journey than a to-do list, because that’s where character is built.

One word that will serve as a compass for your actions, decisions, and priorities. All year long.

One word. 365 days.

Deep-down heart change can be found in a single word.

What’s yours?

Yea! I get to be first! I don’t know if that’s ever happened!

My OneWord for 2012 is STILL. As in “be still,” but also as in “yet.” Looking forward to seeing what the next year brings. I felt like a collosal failure at my OneWord for this year. It was eye-opening. Hoping this year will be better!

Love you, friend! Let me hear from you soon. Just a text would be ok. :)

  2. I think my word this year is “choose”.

  3. I like the concept.
My word for 2012 will be Hope

  4. Anna says:

My word for 2012 is SEEK!

  5. Righteousness is my One Word for 2012.
In all things I do in 2012 I want to lead a life that is pleasing to God. I have been sown to reap Righteousness…

  6. Andrea says:

My word for 2012 is Faithful.

I want to be faithful to my brothers and sisters in Christ, to support them and love them like Jesus is asking me to do. I want to be a faithful steward with what God has given me, money, family, friends, house, etc.
Hebrews 11:13 says, “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.” I want to be someone who welcomed these promises from a distance. I want to have faith in what He will see these things through.

  7. Quite an admirable and apt word for 2012. Will definitely give this notion some thought and come up with a word of my own for this upcoming year! Great idea.

  8. Beth Coulton says:

Fearless! What a 2012 this will be!
