at this point, only with Jesus can i be COMPLETELY vulnerable. the next closest thing would be my accountability partner/best friend….i dunno, something bout knowing Jesus will never leave me and will always love me, makes me feel safe.
Yes, I do…. I feel completely safe with my husband. (most of the time, there is that occasional moment when he says something dumb or does something stupid that hurts my heart, but I know he loves me no matter what). He knows me inside and out, and we share every thing.
Oh good good good. I love this quote. You are really hitting on my big word these days! “Safe”. As far as friendships, I feel 100% safe with Susan. She is exactly this quote. She is faithful and she sifts. I adore her. I really do. I become 100% myself, insecurities and all when I’m around her.
Yes I do. I have lots. But more importantly I’ve learned recently that someone doesn’t feel safe around me, is intimidated by me, for reasons only she knows….. and there is nothing I can do to change that. And I hate it. I’m not used to it at all…. and it’s uncomfortable.
I want so much to be that safe place for anyone I encounter, because so many people are for me.
There are only a few other than Jesus that I truly feel safe with: my mom, my husband, 4 friends (two of whom live out of state). With the friends, it’s conditional – some areas of safety, some notsomuch. I’m not sure that counts. If that’s the case, I think I’d have to go with 1 friend here, 1 out of state.
Like “raisin” said, I think there are people who don’t feel safe with me for what ever reason I’m unaware of and it hurts my heart. Cause I’m fairly good at not judging, as well as keeping my mouth shut about other people’s stuff. Oh, well. Maybe it’s my pride that’s hurt a little bit too. Ouch!
One of my all-time favorite quotes. Love it. And, thankfully, I do have safe people. Wonderful girlfriends who have journeyed this road with me. I couldn’t love them more.

yes.
That is so far from my reality.
It sounds lovely, but I’ve truly only experienced that type of safety with God.

You are always safe with me. Always and always. Just wanted to remind you. :)
Yes.
God, and my best friend, and she’s learning to feel the same way — it’s breathtakingly beautiful to witness.
