Wow! You are so called to Africa and God’s gifts and callings are IRREVOCABLE! Love you!

Alece… once again you’ve captured the intangible and given it physical presence with your beautiful words. And as I read I am reminded of a distant friend, a love I thought I’d almost lost, and a passion that is beginning to re-ignite. I am thankful for all that you’ve given your life for… thankful for your sweat and tears and heartache, not because I would have wished such things on you, but because it has made you the beautiful person that you are and touched so many lives in an inexpressible way. Mine among them.

    Thank You.

  4. Yeah, you have captured with words what is so hard to grasp with our heads. Thank you.

  5. Lisa says:

Oooh….. that stirred my heart and my senses, both.

cross posted to Rebecca Ann’s site:

Africa is the birthplace of civilization. In my world of science genetic research has shown the San Bushmen of the Kalahari have some of the oldest genetic markers in the world.

It was from Africa that waves of immigration spread out to every corner of the world. We can all trace our ancestral lineage to Africa.

    We are all Africans.

I love that you put that into words… because it reminds me of the wisdom and richness I see in your eyes, friend. You drew me in from the start. Just… silly me was to shy to say so. I’m glad I did, even if it took me a while.

Meeting a bushmen must have been a inspiring, and beautiful, experience.

They have learned how to live in harmony with their environment. We have much to learn from them.

I’ve fallen in love with her (Africa) through your heart and eyes.

I often wonder about Nkosi and pray for him often. Somedays when I am missing ya a bit or when I know you are walking through A STORM. I put a picture of you and Nkosi on my desktop of my laptop and everytime I see you guys I touch the screen and thank Him.

I am going to meet her someday (africa) I will.

I feel like you’re painting a picture of Africa for me each time I see the incredible photos you’ve taken and posted here.
