ministry announcement

For those who aren’t on Thrive Africa’s email list, this message was sent out last week—

A Note from our Founder

I consider you part of Thrive’s extended family, so I want to share from my heart what’s going on in my life and at Thrive. It saddens me greatly to tell you that earlier this year my husband, Niel, chose to terminate our marriage. His decision came after revealing to me that he’d violated our marriage covenant. Although my desire was to move toward reconciliation, Niel felt differently. Following his decision for divorce…

“We know God is in this thing and is calling us to continue reaching the people He loves in Africa.”
You write so beautifully and capture what is on my heart as well. Praying for You and the people He loves.

I had already read this … well said and so excited to see how God will use this to “thrive” Thrive Africa. Praying for blessings and provision to pour out like a mighty rain for you and for Thrive. LOVE YOU!

  4. You are a mighty woman of God. I am honored to know you.

  5. It was hard to read when we got the email last week, even with already knowing. It’s still hard to believe.

I love you. You’re gonna make it…and you’re gonna thrive!

I have read and re-read this email. I agree with Danielle…I knew and it is still hard to believe. I continue to see how I need to forgive daily, again and again. Life here has been changing for a while now, but it has been slow. I pray that as healing comes for you and everyone, we let go and trust God with tomorrow. I know that is my prayer every day. It has never been more real to me that,
“we don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we know Who holds tomorrow.” Trusting in HIM to hold you through your tomorrows and to carry us all to HIS vision for Thrive.
    Love you.

This must have been so hard to write and sent out to so many people who maybe are not close friends or maybe don’t even know you. You said it all with grace. I hope and pray that you and thrive will get an overwhelming response of love and support. Love you Alece! You are one amazing lady.
