love, noah

Last year I spent a month in Iowa City visiting my Kitty. (No, not my cat. My friend. Sorry for the confusion.) Well, it was supposed to be a month in Iowa, but we ended up having to evacuate because of a flood.

So we ended up in Missouri. And then Ohio. It’s a long story.

Fast forward.

I’m living in Atlanta at the moment. (Talk about a long story!) And we’re experiencing the worst flood the city’s ever seen. Ummm… Hello!!!

flood in ATL

Are you trackin’ me on the theme here???

Hmph.

I have no idea what it means, but—DANGIT! Someone just stole the Gritty mic…

Kanye west is still one of my favorite rappers though; i’m just saying <3

  3. Carol says:

Seriously, I love this post…..simply because Kanye stole the microphone. (Be safe during the floods).

  4. Tonggu Momma says:

I feel a tad guilty for laughing, but – oh my lands – that is funny. Stay safe (and dry!).

HAHA. Nice job with Kanye there. That made me laugh incredibly hard.
Guess he’ll always be seen as rude forever and ever.

  12. Debra says:

Oh my goodness that makes me laugh … not the flood, but the Kanye thing! :) For shame! :)

I always think of the rain as God washing out the old and bringing in the new … he is doing some serious washing and there is going to be some bright, shiny, amazing new. Can’t wait! Love you!

  13. HILARIOUS!!! Oh my gosh I am dying laughing!!!!

  14. Ed says:

When you visit a town I think you had better start looking to see if anyone is building an ark.

I am reminded a character in the comic strip Joe Btfsplk, I did have to look up his name. He was the worlds most loving friend and the worst jinx, who always traveled with a dark cloud over his head. I am not saying you remind me of him Alece, just that your flood experience does.

Kanye West is one of those people who either does not think about what comes out of his mouth, or knows exactly what he is saying and just wants publicity.

I lived through a flood where people died, 1955, when two hurricanes hit the northeast back to back. The word great does not belong in the same sentence with flood.

    • what a FULL comment. man…

i’m glad you clarified that your mental picture of me doesn’t include a dark cloud over my head.

you have had a wealth of experiences in your lifetime, both good and bad. all have given you a stash of rich wisdom.

  15. Andrew Ronzino says:

Holy crap! Look at that! It’s Kanye West on The Grit!!

I got your message, Beece! Thanks. :-)

  16. Crystal says:

OH OH OH I can’t stop laughing!

    “Love, Noah.” HA!
