let’s pray together

The past few months I’ve been praying a simple prayer. One that’s on my heart and my lips today…

Fill me with the assurance that You are trustworthy.

Short, sweet, and to the point. I know He understands.

What are you praying?

    “Help HER. Please!”

  2. That’s what I love the most…knowing that we don’t need long, drawn-out prayers, cuz He knows our hearts!!! Lately, when I see certain groups of people (who will remain nameless, but we both know who they are) praying with their books and groups and such my prayer is also simple: ‘Help them! They know not what they do.’ And its amazing how my heart has been changing so much for them with that small, short prayer. HE is soooo amazing!

  3. One thing I would ask of You, this would I pray, to dwell in Your house O Lord every day. To gaze upon Your lovely face and rest in the Father’s embrace.

A prayer to be in fulltime ministry.

For myself… show me more of who You are.

  10. Photoqueen says:

Last week it was: I want to FEEL again.

Today it is: FEELING is hard. Hear my heart’s cry.

Actually, your prayer is perfect for how I’m feeling now – believing God, then doubting Him, knowing that He can do whatever He chooses, but beggining Him to do what I want, pleading with Him to agree with my heart, and knowing that His plans and will and mercy are perfect no matter what.

    See? Feeling is hard.

  15. Becca says:

this was my prayer not long ago…”Here you go Lord. You know my problems. You know my pain. You know my needs. I cannot do this alone any more. I am putting 100% of my trust in You. I cannot begin to understand why all of this is happening, but I can put my trust in You. So, Lord, here ya go. Help me. Please

A LOT: Boldness. Courage. His love to empower me to love others. To walk by the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. To lay up treasures in heaven and not on earth. To not rely on substitutions for what God alone is supposed/wants/must be. To be baptized with the Holy Spirit AND fire. To fear God more than I fear man.

I don’t think there’s been a certain prayer in my heart these days. But all I’ve felt is that I need more Jesus. That’s been my heart’s cry lately…for more Jesus.
I’ve been in a weird place lately.
It’s been a long time since I last felt this need/want/love for Jesus (and yes, it’s been a mixture of the three). But I think that it just might be a good thing.
