just a spoonful of sugar

Saturday began as any ordinary day. Well, any ordinary day when we are out with a team on safari. Following the morning game drive, we take them shopping at the market. Eat lunch. Drop them off at the airport. Drive home.

Saturday ended, however, quite differently than usual. I started to get a fever. And ended up getting sick, and making frequent visits to my bathroom, all night long.

Sadly, this has continued through today. While some of my symptoms have stopped, others haven’t. My fever decided to return today as well. It’s been a rough week to say the least.

I can’t remember the last time I was this sick. Or that I was sick for so long. Or that I actually stopped working due to sickness. Yeah. This week has been a doozie.

I’d appreciate your prayers. Thanks, friends!

Oh Kitty- you’ve been hit hard since returning to SA… the roof, the sickness… a bunch of thorns in your side that the enemy would like to use to cripple your passion- to make the daily frustrations seem more tangible than the eternal difference you are making. I’m angry at the devil for coming after you like this… and I’m standing with you in prayer- and right now I say “HANDS OFF!!!!!!!”

I love you- keep your heart up!

Will pray – you’ve been quieter (blog wize) than usual. I was wondering …

Just read everyone else’s comments … yes we’ve had some doozies too. Christmas Eve, computer broke, New Year’s Eve, car broke (clutch) and spent 3 days stuck in Iowa … last Friday our house flooded with sewer water. Wow. This year must be a great year, huh? In a way I’m flattered that we’re dangerous enough to be worth this much attack. A different way of looking at it …

Isaiah 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.

This is what I prayed over you. Speedily YOUR health (notice the possessive)which belongs to you is going to just jump on you!

it’s late saturday night – one week since it all began. i am feeling MUCH better. i’m still not 100%, but i’m definitely on the mend and a world ahead of where i was just days ago.

Glad you’re feeling better. My physiotherapist said when you’re feeling so sick you must restore the electrolites in your body. You can try Kentraxel and can get it from any pharmacy.
