Post the first word that comes to mind when you read the word above yours in the comments. The last word when I close comments will be the first word next time.
Easy-peasy, eh? (You’re welcome to comment more than once… Invited to, actually!)
Here’s our starter word: Africa

Just for the explanation – Drea is my friend. Her middle name is Joy. That was what I thought of.
rocky
@danielleH says:
road
(ok – sidebar note… i just had a laugh. i was stumped by annie’s “drea”… and then for some reason i heard in my head “andreaaaaa” and thought “rocky”, as in the movie. and then a good friend reminded me it’s actually “adriaaaaan”. oops!)

Nature

oh…fireman! Sorry, a bit slow today.
That’s ok… and your word? :o)
I misread the rules. Thought I was suppose to comment on Africa…I’m VERY slow today. ;)
101
(I know NOT a word, but it’s what came to mind)
:)
One-hundred-one is a word. Maybe it is 3 words? Or is it hyphenated like that?
hey – Licita – can we uses phrases or groups of words? If so up to how many?
here is the next word:
Psychology
michelle – i’d wondered about that exotic ice cream! :-) no worries… hakuna matata!
angie – good question. phrases are fine. for now, no word-cap on phrases…
next word:
shrink
wrap
Hi Alece, I love love love gritandglory! I only had time for the dentist story and then the one of you loving your alone time! You had me at the edge of my seat with the whole dentist scene… I’m with ya on the whole episode… I don’t like dentist either and usually have to work up to going…
O the alone time.. wow, your a very secure person at this stage of your marriage and I say this as a compliment. It took me probably 15 years to feel this secure in my marriage and now that I’m 31 years into it… I feel all the same things you feel. I usually give my hubby a card a day to open with a corresponding treat when I leave him… I baby him and he loves me for it! We always reunited with a greater appreciation for each other… Hugs girl I love your sight and will be reading on later.. Have a conference this weekend at church till I fly out to birmingham alabama sat. to tour a church with Doug. Gonna go threw the Museum of Civil Rights and Suffering while there…
Don’t know how my name got so smudged.. This is correct.
linda – you crack me up! thanks for reading and commenting and making me laugh!

fight club
haha. fightclub. feel free to ask for explanations, but:
breakup.
‘xplain me, rootabega!
lemons
(my favorite scene from the movie, “the breakup”, is the one about the 12-lemon centerpiece. “what my baby wants, my baby gets.”)
ahhhh, help me alece.. how do I make a comment in the right topic area? I was going to comment on your hair do’s and hairdon’ts and I’m bk in the last topic brought up.. I’m a newbie at this.
‘xplained:
i’ve had multiple friends go through breakups and boy troubles. we’ve found that fight club is just a fantastic movie to watch during those. accompanied, of course, by cookie dough and/or puppy chow. :D really, just mass amounts of chocolate. haha!
oh. and lemons:
head. (love lemon head candies)
@danielleH says:
hair
(tomorrow: big hair cut day!)
but the word is HAIR
gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bye bye
ciao
(all the words that are coming to my mind are Spanish now that you said ‘ciao’ – we use that here – let’s see….)
Maybe you’ll know this one:
Hasta la vista Baby!
the governator.
HA! no more words from me ahora, but you’ve got me laughing, ‘lece. love.
I will take: love
And add:

Much.

i use it in phrases like “uber fun” and “uber cool”

umpa lumpa.
how did you get from “mass” to “umpa lumpa”?!
for SERIOUS, becca. you astound me. please explain.
(since Becc’ seems to be elsewhere i’m going with ‘umpa lumpa’ while we wait for a most intriguing mind jump explanation ;-) )…

Card – fa la la la – la la la la?
ditto – christmas / sorry – christmas??
i SO wanted to go: fa la la la – la la la la > Banana Splits!
love <B
mass = lump= umpa LUMPa.
haha.
That’s it.
nobody ever said it had to be an intelligent mind jump.
It’s word association, so that’s what my ‘lil brain thought of.
and that’s the way we like it, becca! we just reserve the right to ask how your brain made the connection! (bah) (that’s :-) to the rest of you)
things got a bit muddled there at the end, it seems. but that’s ok…

I refuse to adhere to the comments being closed! I shall comment! And I just did.
Andrew: i’m with you! rebels unite!!!!!
ok. charlie card = the subway/transit cards we use around Boston. pron: chahlie cahd. bless my southern heart.
Pecan Pie
Oh – And my association with card -> fa la la la la – la la la la …
We got a Christmas CARD last year that played the song with the chorus FA LA LA LA LA – LA LA LA LA and the silly battery in the thing has not run out yet. The kids love it so I hope that the more they open and shut the card the quicker it will run out of life – but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Ahhhhh ( the light comes on) :-)
Simple really – Ahh thank aww y’aww ( ;-) )
