jabberwacky: africa

Let’s try a little somethin’ somethin’…

Post the first word that comes to mind when you read the word above yours in the comments. The last word when I close comments will be the first word next time.

Easy-peasy, eh? (You’re welcome to comment more than once… Invited to, actually!)

Here’s our starter word: Africa

Just for the explanation – Drea is my friend. Her middle name is Joy. That was what I thought of.

  19. alece says:

(ok – sidebar note… i just had a laugh. i was stumped by annie’s “drea”… and then for some reason i heard in my head “andreaaaaa” and thought “rocky”, as in the movie. and then a good friend reminded me it’s actually “adriaaaaan”. oops!)

  29. Linda Slthings you feel. uiter says:

Hi Alece, I love love love gritandglory! I only had time for the dentist story and then the one of you loving your alone time! You had me at the edge of my seat with the whole dentist scene… I’m with ya on the whole episode… I don’t like dentist either and usually have to work up to going…
O the alone time.. wow, your a very secure person at this stage of your marriage and I say this as a compliment. It took me probably 15 years to feel this secure in my marriage and now that I’m 31 years into it… I feel all the same things you feel. I usually give my hubby a card a day to open with a corresponding treat when I leave him… I baby him and he loves me for it! We always reunited with a greater appreciation for each other… Hugs girl I love your sight and will be reading on later.. Have a conference this weekend at church till I fly out to birmingham alabama sat. to tour a church with Doug. Gonna go threw the Museum of Civil Rights and Suffering while there…

  36. Linda Sluiter says:

ahhhh, help me alece.. how do I make a comment in the right topic area? I was going to comment on your hair do’s and hairdon’ts and I’m bk in the last topic brought up.. I’m a newbie at this.

  37. roo says:

    ‘xplained:
i’ve had multiple friends go through breakups and boy troubles. we’ve found that fight club is just a fantastic movie to watch during those. accompanied, of course, by cookie dough and/or puppy chow. :D really, just mass amounts of chocolate. haha!

how did you get from “mass” to “umpa lumpa”?!

  49. roo says:

for SERIOUS, becca. you astound me. please explain.

  50. (since Becc’ seems to be elsewhere i’m going with ‘umpa lumpa’ while we wait for a most intriguing mind jump explanation ;-) )…

  56. Becca says:

    mass = lump= umpa LUMPa.
    haha.
    That’s it.
nobody ever said it had to be an intelligent mind jump.

It’s word association, so that’s what my ‘lil brain thought of.

  57. alece says:

and that’s the way we like it, becca! we just reserve the right to ask how your brain made the connection! (bah) (that’s :-) to the rest of you)

things got a bit muddled there at the end, it seems. but that’s ok…

  60. @ngie says:

Oh – And my association with card -> fa la la la la – la la la la …

We got a Christmas CARD last year that played the song with the chorus FA LA LA LA LA – LA LA LA LA and the silly battery in the thing has not run out yet. The kids love it so I hope that the more they open and shut the card the quicker it will run out of life – but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

  61. Ahhhhh ( the light comes on) :-)

    Simple really – Ahh thank aww y’aww ( ;-) )
