  13. Katie says:

Quiet. Just quiet, with no music going, no kids saying, “Mommy, Mommy!” No husband asking where things are or will I do this with him. No phone ringing. No timer going off to remind me of something I need to do.

I crave quiet, because the kids are peacefully asleep, hubby is satisfied, nothing needs done at that moment, and for just an hour, no one needs me.

Don’t get me wrong. I love being needed and having purpose to my days. But I do crave breaks, every once in a great while, just to be the Katie I was before all of those, and whom I still am in and around all of the above.

  25. Debra says:

Dangerous thing to ask a pregnant woman what she is craving! Ha! In two categories …

Food: grape juice, oreo cookies, bread (especially warm and with butter), salty foods, mexican food (I could wolf down nacho’s everyday), ice cream from Chik-Fil-A, cinnamon-raisin bagels but only from Einstein’s Bagels. Ahhh!

In Life: God moments, hearing God’s voice, my family, breathing, a garden, a henhouse, great friends, encouragement, time to read my bible and journal daily (can’t miss that), a vacation, inspiration … I have most of these things. I am blessed. Right now I crave an end to this particular journey we are on. I am sensing a calling to the next thing. I am ready to move on … but, patience, obedience and waiting on God’s timing has more benefit and I desire it more than a too-soon, too-quick resolution where I might miss what God is unfolding. So want to run ahead sometimes.

Love you sweet Alece! Looking forward to a day when I can meet you in person!

  26. I guess I first thought ice cream. But if I need to go deeper than that: close friends in my new town. And freedom (in the form of our house selling – you know – since we don’t live there anymore).

  27. Shinea says:

Here, here on the consistency. I also crave…

connection in my new city, a church home, more faith and less worry, the ability to “unplug”, and to feel closer to God.
