This quote has always haunted me.
Alece-I hope you are well….and that your words are being stored up in your heart and He is guiding and loving and shaping and pouring into you tenfold. You are loved.
You know, maybe should change the title of this post to “Don’t Do Nothing.”
The way it reads now — with the “Do Nothing” title — it sounds like you’re telling everybody to let triumph.

I need to do more to help people who have become overwhelmed by the darkness of evil. I need to help bring the light of faith to those of have lost hope they can make their lives better.

Having lived in Germany so many years, this quote (above) has always especially haunted me.
I’m reminded of THIS quote (if you’ll allow me to add my own!):
“They came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for me and by that time no one was left to speak up.” (German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemoeller in 1946)
Oh…. and in answer to your question about what I need to do? Be willing to be inconvenienced and pay the cost much more to love others in His name.
That is THE quote. It was on the back of our walk shirts…
And every time I read it, it challenges me.
