contest: make me laugh!
You know a cheerful heart is good medicine, right? Well, these days I keep finding myself scouring the internet for some comic relief. Laughing always feels good, but right now it feels like magic.
And it’s your turn to provide me a dose of laughter medication.
Head over to the talk to me page and you’ll see a new feature I recently added to the Grit. You can easily record and send me a video (or audio) message that comes straight to me. It isn’t displayed online; I’m the only one who sees it.
So get your webcam rolling and create a funny video to send me. The person who makes me laugh the hardest will be declared the winner.
Contest rules:
- You can submit as many entries as you’d like.
- Record your video here. If you’d rather film/edit your video some other way and email it to me, that’s fine, too.
- Submissions must be received by midnight (EST) on Monday, January 12th 19th.
- Winning video will be displayed on my blog.
- Winner will receive some bucks to spend at two of my favorite places to drop cash: Starbucks and iTunes.

Ok, I’m just going to say right now that if, in some miracle of the universe, I make you laugh harder than all of these crazy people, you should disqualify me and pick someone else.
Cuz I want to do my part and give you laughter/medicine… but ain’t nobody on God’s green earth that needs to see me live on video on the Internet.
Trust me. Not cute. I participate and forfeit. :)

I don’t have a video for you but a movie that always makes Brad and I laugh is Multiplicity. We just watched it with my sister over Christmas. Rent it and you will laugh!

I don’t have a webcam. Or a cam at all. And … I’m not that funny. Well … I make myself laugh. And then usually people laugh at me, laughing at myself … but I don’t know if that qualifies. And besides. I don’t have a webcam. I am interested to see what your ‘all call’ brings up, though. :)

Hey, enjoy it. I can’t think of anything that would make you LOL (oops, I mean) laugh out loud, but I hope you have fun. Sometimes I’ll be watching TV and laugh out and then think, “wow, when was the last time I did that? That felt so good.” It truly is good for the heart!!
Okay, seriously, I am the most technologically impaired person ever and you are asking me to send a video. I have exactly the one in mind. Makes my husband laugh and laugh. I suppose I’ll have to ask him to figure out how to do that … but for you … I will make the effort.
And, seriously, I’ve said it before, but it’s no fair that you are so dang photogenic! :)
