thanks for talking about me
I know my dreamcation was a direct answer to prayer.
But not mine.
Because I never actually prayed for one.
Oh I talked about wanting to get away to some exotic location. But I never prayed about it.
Not because I thought God wouldn’t care, but because I don’t pray for myself very specifically very often. But that’s a blog post for another day.
Where was I?
Oh yeah.
My incredible trip was an answer to your prayers.
Yours.
You know who you are.
I’ve been so humbled by the number of people who’ve been genuinely and faithfully praying for me. For months now. Some of you I know intimately, and some I’ve never met before. And yet you pray for me. Consistently.
It makes me welly-eyed.
I know many of you have prayed specifically for peace, rest, strengthening friendships, and even an opportunity to get away.
And God used some wonderful people in Middle-of-Nowhere, Pennsylvania to answer those prayers.
I am so incredibly grateful. For your intercession and for their obedient and generous response to His nudging.
Thank you for talking to Him about me.
He’s listening.
And He’s answering.
you are loved…remember that.
You are on my mind all the time, therefore I pray for you constantly. For strength, for peace for perseverance, that God would give you the strength to face another day..and the list goes on. I love you so much and am so glad that you were able to get away for a much needed vacation.

Hey Alece, You know the cool thing is your talking about it, even longing for it ended up being a prayer… cause He reads the thoughts and longings of our hearts, then intercede’s on our behalf. He is faithful to your small unspoken goodness
It’s corny, but the old Willie Nelson song, “Always On My Mind” is what I thought of reading this. You’re always in my mind and in my prayers, and I know it’s God. I carry you in my heart all day, every day. It is *not* a burden. So many Aarons and Hurs around you, lifting up your arms in the battle.
We’re gonna *keep on* talking to Him about you. And watch Him come in even more amazing ways than the way He gave you this vacation.
Joshua 3:5 comes to mind: “Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.”
i have been so thankful for your prayer support over this past year, lisa. thank you for being so faithful to me — and to Him — in that.
