Home Sweet Home
Our home is an old farm house — with many quirks and problems, but it is home nonetheless. I just learned that it is one of only two homes that were left standing in this area during all the wars and battles that were fought. Interesting.
(Yes, that’s a trampoline out front, and our red four-wheelers…)
Together with my parents, we just purchased a house in New York; my parents went to closing yesterday. We are excited for my parents to be able to live in a nicer and bigger house (with more than one bathroom!!!) and for us to have more space when we are back home. I’ve only seen pictures so far and cannot wait to see the real thing when we are Stateside later this year! We are excited!
We had a snowstorm earlier this week; since my attempt at linking to an online album failed, here are some pictures from the day after the snowstorm…

not the house “of my dream” but i liked seeing the picture of it. it’s the idea that counts…right? besides, we’ll still visit (one day) and watch Survivor with you, and maybe introduce you to House! :)
Thanks for the post!
And is the trampoline for stress relief? Do you really use it? I love that!
And…I think I have to have an email invite to view those pics ;)
Thanks again … I’m catching up a bit. I haven’t been on here lately. :] I’m excited for your family! BTW … I also can’t open the album. It says the session timed out.
Try the album link again (I changed it a bit). I’m trying to beat the system here by using a link rather than an invite email, but I’m not totally sure it will work. It works from my computer, but it may because it recognizes me at shutterfly. If it still doesn’t work, I’ll post the pics on here.
You are on a roll with these posts. I’ve loved reading about your home and congrats on the New York house! That is very exciting.
Nope! link doesnt work…
I also am really liking these posts with “a-day-in-the-life-of-Alece” ;)
Bummer to hear it didn’t look like the one in your dream, Yeller. Maybe you were seeing our future house – the one we have yet to build!
I do use the trampoline – not as much as I should. I haven’t used it in a while now, actually, because it’s breaking – several springs have fallen off so it’s not the safest! But I had gotten it because I don’t like to exercise–jumping on the trampoline is a good way to do it without feeling like I am! HA!
Sorry the picture link didn’t work; I finally just gave up and added the pics to the post.
Great pictures, Alece!! It’s actually comforting to hear someone else hates to excercise as much as I do! ;) I’m still trying to figure out how to make it palatable for me. :)
I have heard that is a great way to exercise…that is one of those things that I just cant seem to get motivated to do!
I sure hope that we can spend some time with you when you come to the States later this year…we would love it!
Maybe it is your future house! Maybe I’m prophetic :)
I demand more images of Nigel.
I am a friend of Dave and Amy’s. Your blog is great. Thanks for sharing!
